Are you alone or are you "entertaining"?
What mood are you in??
All of these things and more will influence what you wear to bed. I wonder if we posed the question to every Australian - What would you say??
The term, "Australian Sleepwear", can mean so many things depending on the situation. To answer the question "What Australian Sleepwear do you wear to bed?", you really need to know so much more. Have you had a bad day at work, have you been on your feet all day slaving away for someone else? or is a cold wet rainy day where you need to crawl into bed with a good book or dvd? or are you trying to capture someone's attention?
In the wild, birds (the feathered type), generally show off the fancy colours in their feathers and dance around the room. If they dance well enough, and if their colours are bright enough then they might capture another bird's attention. An Australian Sleepwear item is already built in as standard on a bird.
I guess, we all do something similar. Put on your best clothes, do your hair and head out on the town. Hopefully we will attract someone back to our place and then the process starts again. This time a different lot of colours and a different dance.
